UI7 Newsroom

This past semester, I joined UI7 Newsroom to become a student reporter for two of its shows, 'Illini Sports Night' and 'UI7 Newsbreak'. Since then, I've been able to hit the ground running and contribute to each show with VOs, VOSOTs, packages, graphics and weekly stories. Through this experience, I continue to add to my multimedia skillset and gain a better understanding of the ins-and-outs of a live newsroom and the complexities that go into a producing a successful broadcast. I am now confident in my ability to edit footage and audio on Adobe Premiere Pro, create graphics on canva, operate professional cameras like the Sony NX100 and write for broadcast television.
